This policy explains how ARCTEK LLC ("we") uses Google user data for AT Myrtle Home Assistant, a private Home Assistant integration for authorized Google Nest thermostats. This application is intended for private operation, not public registration.
Information accessed
With authorization from the Google account holder, the integration may access Nest device identifiers and names; supported thermostat state, temperature and humidity measurements; operating mode; and target temperature settings through the Google Device Access / Smart Device Management APIs. It may issue authorized thermostat-control commands. Google OAuth authorization is used to grant this access.
How information is used
We use this information solely to show thermostat status and enable thermostat monitoring, control, and related private automation in Home Assistant. We do not use Google user data to serve advertisements, build marketing profiles, or train AI models.
Storage and retention
Device state and related activity may be retained in the privately managed Home Assistant system, including its configured history, logs, or backups. OAuth credentials and tokens used by Home Assistant are managed within its configured integration storage. Retention depends on the Home Assistant installation’s history, log, and backup settings; records may be deleted or aged out through those settings. This public website does not store Nest readings or credentials.
Sharing
We do not sell Google user data or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Data is exchanged with Google APIs as necessary to perform requested device access and control, and is processed within the privately managed Home Assistant environment. Any additional disclosure would be limited to circumstances required by law or explicitly authorized by the account owner.
Security
Access is restricted to authorized administrators and the Google account holder. Authentication and authorization are handled through Google’s OAuth process and Home Assistant’s own access controls. This informational website does not provide a thermostat login or expose the Home Assistant installation.
Control and deletion
The Google account holder may revoke the application’s access in their Google Account connections settings: https://myaccount.google.com/connections. Authorized administrators can remove the integration and manage or delete locally retained device history, logs, and backups through the Home Assistant system.
Website visitors
We have not added analytics, advertisements, forms, or tracking scripts to these pages. The web-hosting provider may process ordinary request information to serve the site under its own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the integration or data-handling practices change. The effective date above will be revised when that happens.
